Jagga Jasoos – Bollywood’s Sherlok Holmes
Are you ready for an adventurous romantic comedy? – You better be because Jagga Jasoos is arriving on 7 April 2017. The filming originally began back in 2014 in Cape Town, South Africa. However, the director was not satisfied with some of the Ranbir Kapoor’s scenes so he decided to repeat them. One more curiosity and the reason of numerous delays were the arguments of the lead actors that had a romance going on. They began shooting again in October 2014 in Thailand and paused after finishing with this location. Finally, the team finished filming Jagga Jasoos on 20 April 2016 in Darjeeling. Although its release was planned for 27 November 2015, due to many delays and problems on the set, it was moved to April 2017.
The story of Jagga Jasoos
The story of a teenage detective looking for his missing father is a real mixture of genres. It is like Sherlock Holmes from Bollywood with many funny and adventurous parts! Of course, as per usual, the romantic story is involved and we will be seeing the sparks between the main characters. The odds are that we will fall in love with this movie just as they will with each other.
The team
To begin with, Anurag Basu is the director and writer of Jagga Jasoos. The team of producers consists of Siddharth Roy Kapur, Ranbir Kapoor, Anurag Basu and Mahesh Samat. Pritam was in charge of the Music, Ravi Varman of Cinematography and Akiv Ali of the Edits. Picture Shuru Entertainments united with Ishana Movies for the production of this movie. That is not the only aspect where the giant companies united. Moreover, UTV Motion Pictures and Walt Disney Pictures did the distribution together. As for the cast, we will be watching Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Adah Sharma and Sayani Gupta.
