Bollywood actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar Dies
The veteran actor of bollywood , Sadashiv Amrapurkar, best known for his villanious roles, has died at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on Monday. Sadashiv Amrapurkar was at his 64 and had infection in his lung. According to a family source, Amrapurkar died at 2:45 am on Monday November 3, 2014.
Amrapurkar, who is remarked for his roles in Sadak, Ishq and Ardh Satya was last seen on the big screen in 2012 film ‘Bombay Talkies’. Amrapurkar has done 250 films including Aankhen, Ishq, “Coolie No. 1 and Gupt: The Hidden Truth, Hakumat, Aakha, etc.
The best supporting actor for “Ardh Satya” in 1984 and the best villain trophy for his portrayal of a ruthless eunuch in “Sadak” in 1991 were the two filmfare awards the actor received. In the later time, Amrapurkar moved towards the marathi movies and also became quite selective.
He will be taken to his hometown Ahmednagar district tomorrow for his last rites. Many bollywood actors expressed condonlence and their sadness on the death of Amrapurkar. They have marked the actor as the fine human being & a wonderful actor, a colleague and a gifted talent, etc. Rest in peace !
